Make technical resilience evidence easier to review.

Connect an important service to the workload you tested, the outcomes you required and the uncertainties that still need attention.

Fit the test to the service

The FCA describes mapping and scenario testing as part of ongoing operational resilience for firms in scope. Its March 2026 observations emphasise continued improvement after the March 2025 transition deadline.

For firms within its scope, PRA SS2/21 covers business continuity and exit planning, including stressed exits and proportionate testing. The November 2024 version is current; the March 2026 update takes effect on 18 March 2027.

Bring a useful record to the review

  • The workload and dependency boundary that was actually included.
  • The scenario, target and required application outcomes.
  • The package, execution method and individual check results.
  • The time, assumptions, exclusions, cleanup and unresolved issues.

Your organisation still owns important-business-service mapping, impact tolerances, severe but plausible scenarios, people/process dependencies and the self-assessment. A simulator latency measurement is not evidence of production recovery time or remaining within impact tolerance.
