Run a test and read the evidence

Prepare the test

On Check portability, follow the next action shown for this workload. Confirm the selected resources, review inferred material and define at least one required success criterion. Use a static mock if you want to control a component’s response.

Retrievable Lambda code is obtained after the function is selected into an approved workload. The archive is checked for digest and archive structure, then held in encrypted quarantine. It is not executable proof material while scanning and approval are incomplete.

If code retrieval fails

Open the affected resource in Workload map. Read the reported cause and use Retry code retrieval. A permission failure may require the AWS administrator to update the approved role. A missing deployment archive, unsupported package or encryption restriction needs its own resolution.

Fixture-based testing can remain available while code retrieval is unresolved. The result must still say that it used a simulation or mock.

Start and follow a run

Select Run portability test. The progress view shows preparation, queueing, running and recording the result. If setup blocks the run, open the listed step; repeated clicks should not be necessary.

Check Test history to compare previous runs. A queued or running test is not a new passing result.

Read the result in this order

What ran?

A simulation checks configured synthetic behaviour. Original application proof requires approved application material to execute in an available, controlled target.

What passed?

Inspect each required criterion. A pass applies to that check set and workload/package revision.

When did it run?

Read the recorded time and freshness. An earlier pass does not describe every later change.

What remains open?

Read unsupported outcomes, dependencies and limitations. Data migration, production load and cutover may be outside the test.

Was it cleaned up?

Review the recorded cleanup result. “Test passed” and “cleanup verified” are separate facts.

Download the package that was tested

Where your plan and the run allow export, the retained bundle includes the exact workload package, execution plan and target plan. Earlier runs may need to be repeated if their bundle was not retained.

A contract-package download is not a deployable copy of the original app. Original-code packaging also requires dependency, build, configuration, secret, licence and target compatibility work. Check the material and execution method before planning a deployment.

Inspect a running target

A time-limited live environment is a separately approved execution option. Hosted application execution requires an eligible, verified organisation and evidenced isolation. Demo users cannot start it. Customer-hosted execution and sovereign installations need an agreed deployment plan.
